5 Learning Areas of Montessori
Montessori is dedicated to providing high-quality education in a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn through a combination of child-centered and individualized teaching approaches and learning activities. Its 5 Learning Areas such as Practical Life, Sensorial Arts, Language, Mathematics and Cultural Arts along with fully equip montessori Apparatuses greatly encourage our children to pursue their interests, actively explore and develop at their own pace. Our International Montessori Curriculum utilizes a combination of individualized and group learning activities. MGPS methodologies aim to develop children intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically and linguistically, as well as to teach and promote good values and respect individuality.
Leaders of Tomorrow
Leadership skills are importantl to lifelong success. At Preschool, we inspire and empower our young learners to develop positive attitudes to collaborate and work towards a common goal among their classmates and teachers. Various leadership activities are created to help children develop confidence, learn to solve problems, work collaboratively in a team, and instill responsibility. Our preschool group activities expose every child to acquire skills such as perseverance and dedication, both of which help reinforce the importance of completing their homeworks, keeping promises, and being an honest, confident, and trustworthy.
Multiple Intelligence
Intelligence is often defined as our intellectual potential and is commonly measured by fixed methods, such as IQ tests and examinations. However, current research indicates that intelligence is not merely a static structure but can also be measured in an open and dynamic system where children continue to develop throughout life. Recognizing this, MGPS Kids are proud to adopt the concept of Multiple Intelligences into its preschool learning methods and concepts. Through M.I., we are able to develop an effective approach to nurture children and honouring their individual needs based on their strengths and areas of intelligence
Love for Nature
Montessori Approach and Science related activities support the development of positive attitude to our preschoolers the sense of respecting nature, caring for living things and empaty towards his/her environment and God’s creation. Our Natural Sciece Area with a well structured STEAM activities creates opportunities help build lifelong skills and give children a connection that supports caring for their environment, as well as each other. Growing plants, 4 R’s and nature care have always been connected. We all are connected to the natural world. The natural world is one of the best environments for our preschoolers to explore, absorb, enjoy and discover ways to LOVE MOTHER EARTH.
Develop Child’s Future Career
The most important lesson we impart to our preschoolers is that learning is lifelong. We encourage them to explore and develop their passions, foster curiosity, experiment with creativity and embrace discovery of their talent and skills as terrific place to start. Roleplaying, Show and Tell, Drama are just some of the fun learning activities we provide in class which help them acquire the inner strength to become fearless learners with confidence to attempt new things and have mindset that will help him/her prepare for the future and succeed in the future workplace.
Hands-on Learning
MGPS Curriculum supports Hands-on learning as a vital Montessori approach which allows ever child to learn at their own pace in a lively, hands-on environment that encourages independence, self-discipline and analytical thinking. Hands-on learning encourages multi-tasking through listening, focus, concentration, speaking, touching and using the senses to explore the environment.
