Founder Message
As her future dream to make the children who are slow become smart and as her true happiness to deal with children with love, Januati Halim who graduated from Industrial and System Engineering and Master of Business and Administration, on 1995, opened the First Montessori School in Jakarta, Kelapa Gading, the first center in Jakarta Utara.
At that time, Montessori School in Kelapa Gading use London System and Philosophy and Montessori Gading Permata School is the first international school in Kelapa Gading.
In the beginning, it’s very hard to introduce to parents about what is Montessori System. At that time, parents are trained to educate their children. The focus of all academic and personal development is child-centered. Our goal is to empower each child’s potential to learn, become confidently independent, and acquire the strong determination to succeed. Learning is focused on the development of skills using effective teaching approaches which inspires every child to apply the knowledge they accuired in new and practical ways in broadening their cognitive, logical, intellectual, and creativity.
Montessori Gading Permata School opened the teachers training centre to get best Montessori teachers. After one year on 1996, Montessori Gading Permata School got many students. The success was because of the team work.
MGPS has expanded through their branches in Pantai Indah Kapuk and Sunter. With their great success in educating the Preschool and Primary students, MGPS receives the “Best Montessori School” from parents.
